Marine Corps Toys for Tots Program
For over 30 years, the Marine Corps has been running its Toys for Tots Program with the goal of bringing the joy of Christmas to America’s less fortunate children. Local 7 proudly participates in the program where toys, books, and games are donated to disadvantaged children across the country at Christmas time.
Toys for Tots 2023
2023 was a record-breaking year for the initiative with over 25 million toys, books, and games to more than 10 million disadvantaged children thanks to the support from over 50,000 volunteers.
To date, the Marine Corps’ Toys for Tots Program has distributed 677 million toys to 301 million children.
Bringing Hope to Our Nation’s Children
Running from October to December each year and supported by volunteers, the Program consists of collecting and distributing new, unwrapped toys to less fortunate children at Christmas time. Delivering these children a message of hope is the primary goal and initiatives like this can help these disadvantaged children become responsible, proud citizens of the US.
Everyone deserves some Christmas cheer
Playing an active role in the development of our nation’s children brings immense pride to Local 7 and uniting all members of our local community is a shared goal of all the Program’s volunteers.
